Puppets are AWESOME!

I try and change up our homeschool preschool program with 3 year old A from time to time. Little guy can only handle so many days of worksheets, LOL...and even home made play dough eventually loses its appeal. Today we made a puppet!

Supplies:
One of those random mis-matched socks that the dryer DIDN'T eat...solid colors work best...we went with green.
Felt...colors depending on what kind of puppet you are making, A wanted to make a dinosaur, so we chose red, black, green, and gold.
Googly eyes!! (A's favorite part!)
Hot glue gun...for PARENT use only...or fabric glue and lots of patience if kiddo wants to do the gluing themselves.
Scissors

Gathering the supplies...
Cut the felt to shape...we cut half-circles of black and red for the mouth, a tongue, lots of green and yellow circles for spots and face details...

The pieces all cut to shape...
A decided where the spots were going to go, and I CAREFULLY glued them in place...HOT GLUE is HOT!!! LOL

And we have a new dino playmate!!

A and his new pal!
Out comes the theater... (Find more info on the theater on my blog With a Tangled Skein) Folded up, it fits nicely in a canvas tote bag, which makes storage easy :D

The puppet theater all stowed away...
And the fun begins!

A with his dino, putting on a show :D
