A few months ago my youngest daughter got her ears pierced. Since she is now able to change out her earrings...and got a bunch of really cute ones for Christmas, she needed a place to keep them when not in use.
We dug into the craft supplies, and came up with some circular plastic canvas . Square or rectangle would work, too, if all you have are sheets. Just cut to the size you want :) We located a tapestry needle that would fit through the holes on the plastic canvas, and R picked out a yarn that she liked.
I started her off, leaving a tail about 8 inches long at the beginning (leave a matching length once you work all the way around, tie a knot as close to the canvas as you can with both lengths, then one at the 'top' of the ends, to form a loop for hanging)
...and she whip stitched all the way around the edge...with a little help and a few corrections from mama when she got herself twisted around, LOL. It took her a little while, but she was so intent on it, and kept plugging away...
...and was VERY proud of her work!
This is fabulous! Your daughter did a great job! My seven year old will love making this. Thank you!
